Some patients did not achieve the desired effect due to improper wear and use of the orthosis. Therefore, correct wearing is the key to the function of the orthosis. The precautions and methods for several types of patients to wear the orthosis are described below.

How to wear: Put the ankle-foot brace on your feet first and then put it in your shoes, or put the ankle-foot brace in your shoes first and then put your feet in. Pay attention to the tension of the middle strap, and make appropriate records, step by step. During the first month of wearing, new users should take off for 15 minutes every 45 minutes to rest their feet properly and massage their feet. Slowly let the feet get used to the orthosis. After a month, you can slowly increase the wearing time each time. Family members must check the patient’s feet daily to check for blisters or abrasions on the skin. New ankle-foot brace After the user removes the brace, red marks appear on the pressure pads, which can be eliminated within 20 minutes; if they cannot be eliminated for a long time or a rash occurs, they should immediately notify the orthopedist. You must not wear foot brace at night without the special requirements of the orthopedist. In addition, care should be taken to maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene.
